Dr. Sergio Mijangos, OD
Dr. Sergio Mijangos studied pre-medicine at the University of Puerto Rico, and went on to get his doctorate of Optometry from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, in San Juan PR in 2005. He started his career at Wolfe Eye Clinic, where he gained valuable experience working with Ophthalmologists doing cataract and retinal surgeries.
He then moved to Sioux City, IA where he started his own practice and has been working at Mijangos Optometry for over 7 years. Dr. Mijangos enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, being outdoors, boating in the summer, and hanging out with his friends.
Staff
When you walk into Mijangos Optometry, you will be greeted by friendly faces that will be able to assist you, from the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave. All of our staff are trained in doing the pre-tests necessary for a great eye exam. They are also trained in checking insurance eligibility, contact lens training, ordering contacts, scheduling appointments, and answering any questions you may have about the process.
